I ended up using system restore to get the drivers to be back the way they should. I then tried uninstalling my Cisco VPN software and it failed to uninstall. So I decided to reinstall VMWare again and see what happened and now every virtual and real network device has an exclamation on it in device manager and I have zero connectivity now.
